Samsung has led Latin America smartphone shipments for the past 51 quarters, thanks to its diversified product portfolio across different price ranges. However, Samsung was the only one of the top five suppliers to see a decline (down 8% year-on-year), due to the rise of Chinese suppliers, which provide consumers with more choices.
TechInsights pointed out that Xiaomi grew by 46% year-on-year, Honor grew by 520% year-on-year, realme grew by 700% year-on-year, OPPO Group grew by 59% year-on-year, Huawei grew by 100% year-on-year, and Transsion Group grew by 209% year-on-year.
