On July 16, according to China.com, China Mobile, as the first communications operator in China to join the Open Invention Network (OIN), officially joined OIN, an organization dedicated to reducing open source software patent risks.

OIN has the largest and oldest patent cross-licensing platform in the world. After joining the platform, any party can obtain a cross-license of Linux system patents, thereby adhering to the patent non-infringement principle in core Linux technology and related open source technologies.

According to the OIN official website, domestic enterprise members include Alibaba, Tencent, Huawei, BYD, Xiaomi, ByteDance, Baidu, Haier, SAIC, etc.
