Almost a month has passed since Garmin started distributing Software Version 17.23 for the Fenix 7X Pro (curr. $899.99 on Amazon) and other members of the Fenix 7 family. Incidentally, the same update for a plethora of other smartwatches that Garmin keeps on the same development cycle, including all Epix 2 models and the Quatix 7. Subsequently, the company pushed Beta Versions 17.26 and 17.28, details of which you can find in each corresponding hyperlink.
Now, Garmin has transitioned the latter to its stable software distribution channel. As such, Software Version 17.28 contains all the changes that were flighted in Beta Versions 17.26 and 17.28. Specifically, the update's changelog mentions featuring 'miscellaneous improvements', just like a recent equivalent update for multiple mid-range Garmin smartwatches.
Based on the company's earlier changelog, these miscellaneous improvements are not user-facing. Conversely, Software Version 17.28 should address a bug that prevented the Daily Suggested Workouts prompt from appearing properly. At the time of publication, Garmin claims to have delivered Software Version 17.28 to only 10% of eligible smartwatches. While the company will continue to deliver notifications to commence the over-the-air (OTA) download in the coming days, it is possible to trigger the update process manually by heading to Settings, System, Software Update before tapping 'Check for Updates'.
