According to BYD’s detailed introduction, the fifth-generation DM hybrid technology has three world bests:The world’s highest engine thermal efficiency of 46.06%, and 2.9 liters of power loss per 100 kilometers. Fuel consumption and the world's longest comprehensive range of 2,100 kilometers have set a record low in fuel consumption per 100 kilometers.
The fifth-generation DM technology has built three core architectures: an electricity-based power architecture, a full-temperature vehicle thermal management architecture, and a smart-electricity integrated electronic and electrical architecture. In addition, the energy density of the blade battery of the new generation technology has been significantly improved, reaching 115Wh/kg, an increase of 15.9%, while the discharge rate and feedback rate have also increased by 16°C and 5°C respectively, and the performance difference has increased by 20.3%. . BYD is the only car manufacturer in the world to use 12V lithium iron phosphate small batteries. Compared with traditional lead-acid batteries, this small battery is lighter at only 2.2kg and has a charge and discharge efficiency of up to 94%. Research shows that the fifth-generation DM thermal management architecture is also innovative in battery thermal management. It adopts the second-generation battery direct cooling system, which can save 34% of energy and increase the temperature average speed by 45%. At the same time, the new second-generation battery pulse self-heating technology also increases the heating speed by 60%. In terms of performance testing, the fifth-generation DM technology also showed superior performance. It only takes 7.5 seconds to accelerate to 100 kilometers, NEDC fuel consumption is as low as 2.9 liters per 100 kilometers, and CLTC power consumption is only 10.7 kWh/100km. In the actual test, the average fuel consumption of Qin L was 2.26L, while that of Seal 06 was as low as 2.11L. With full fuel and full battery, the comprehensive cruising range measured bymedia exceeded 2,300 kilometers, which undoubtedly provides more convenience for long-distance driving.
