可以看出，对于H.264标准，HDVICP2支持BL（基本）、MP（主要）和HP（高级）三种档次，并不支持XP（扩展档次）。
最近研究的内容上需要用到H.264的data partition（数据分割）技术，可惜无法在DM8168的HDVICP2上实现了，因为只有H.264扩展档次支持data partition。

实际上，H.264编码软件目前也基本上都不支持数据分割，下图为各H.264编码软件对H.264各功能的支持情况：
可以看出表中软件全都不支持数据分割，但JM8.6是支持的。
