德國電信子公司 MMS 和 Bankhaus Metzler 正在啟動一個試點項目，利用剩餘能源建立比特幣 (BTC) 挖礦業務。行動巨頭 T-Mobile 的母公司德國電信於週三宣布了這項舉措。據報道，該行動將使用再生能源的電力進行 BTC 挖礦。

根據公告，透過BTC挖礦進行權力調節已經在美國和芬蘭成功完成。今天宣布的試點項目涉及在德國驗證該流程。

德國電信 MMS 數位信任和 Web3 基礎設施主管 Oliver Nyderle 表示：「隨著再生能源數量的不斷增加以及由此產生的可用能源波動，對快速可用調節電源的需求不斷增加。」

“為此，我們需要能夠快速響應變化並吸收波動的機制。我們正在與Bankhaus Metzler 和RIVA Engineering GmbH 一起朝這個方向邁出一步，以測試比特幣礦工在能源網中的監管效果。”

剩餘能源透過礦工轉換為數位值，Nyderle 補充道。「我們稱之為數位貨幣光合作用。」

Bankhaus Metzler 數位資產辦公室主管 Hendrik König 表示，區塊鏈在金融業以外的營運業務中的重要性日益增加，該公司的目標是在德國推進這項技術。

「我們很高興在這個試點計畫中支持德國電信，並貢獻我們在數位資產方面的專業知識，」König 說。

德國電信去年宣布將啟動 Polygon (POL) 網路驗證者業務。
