mac 安装 mongodb

mac 系统里，用 brew 和 npm 安装 mongodb 有什么不同吗？用哪个方式安装后期使用和维护会比较方便？

npm is based on node, brew is based on mac.
But npm installs mongo middleware, not the database. They are not the same thing.

What I use now is brew installation, and I find it very convenient to manage.

With this software, you can directly download the gz compressed package, then decompress it and configure the path. This solution is probably the simplest. My mac mongodb3 is decompressed directly.
