When I used Ubuntu before, I always allocated 20G to the /
partition.
Since I don't use Gnome and KDE, 20G is enough.
After installing the software I need, I generally don't use 10G.
If you use these heavyweight desktop environments, 30G should be enough.

I also used 12.04 and it cost about 31g
It comes with some software, I think 31g is too much. It should be less than 30g. 20g is enough

Just installed it, and installed a few not-so-big software. /
Accounts for 3.9G.
