When I used Ubuntu before, I always allocated 20G to the /partition.
Since I don't use Gnome and KDE, 20G is enough.
After installing the software I need, I generally don't use 10G.
If you use these heavyweight desktop environments, 30G should be enough.
In fact, hard drives are cheap now, so it doesn’t matter if you set aside 50G for /.

I also used 12.04 and it cost about 31g
It comes with some software, I think 31g is too much. It should be less than 30g. 20g is enough

Just installed it, and installed a few not-so-big software. /Accounts for 3.9G.
