There are json ones, which are based on the http protocol.
There are also those that do not use http, some implement special protocols, and some use rpc. There are many ways to implement rpc.
Most of them have nothing to do with language.

mvc is more about division of labor at the code level, not business or architectural layering, so it doesn’t involve communication! My humble opinion, I hope God can clarify the confusion
