WeChat’s red envelope pictures are Gaussian blurred on the pictures by the client. The WeChat client also caches the pictures (almost all apps do this). Go to Settings - General Clear and cache and it will be ok. Next time the red envelope image comes online, I guess this bug will be fixed, either by moving it to the background for blurring, https, or re-encoding the image.
