1. First of all, my 500G mobile hard drive is actually It was removed from the computer (because the SSD was replaced), and then I bought a hard disk box on Taobao and transformed it into a 500G external mobile hard disk. After connecting it to win7 that had been installed on the SSD, I used DiskGenius to delete all partitions. , and finally showed 466G black (idle), I restarted and plugged in the pre-made LinuxMint boot disk.
2. Then I Install, following the online tutorial, I directly use the LinuxMint installation program for the partition, and put the free 466G partition there. I won’t say how to divide it. Anyway, no matter how I divide it, it will report an error in the end. , right, just like the picture in the question. The general meaning is that there is no alignment or something, but I think it doesn't matter, because the misalignment will only reduce the efficiency of the hard disk, and it will not prevent you from installing it.
3. Then this morning, classmate Zhihui told me that the mechanical disk must be aligned...I thought beep--, so I tried to align it under DiskGenius at noon..
4. For the first alignment at noon, I divided a 500M ext2 primary partition, which is linux native according to the options under DiskGenius. I plan to use this as /boot. I also divided a 4G swap primary partition, according to the options under DiskGenius. It's linux swap, and I used 300G to make the rest in fat32 format. Restart the installation by inserting the USB disk. Okay, let's enter the partition process of the installation. It turns out that the three partitions we divided under win are not in use. Double-click the partition of about 500M and the tab will show the unused status. Turn the tab Go to ext2, and then select /boot for the mount point below. It also has a format checkbox, remember not to select it! ! ! Choosing our partitioning operation under win wasted all our efforts, because the 500M primary partition I was allocated under win started with 0, and LinuxMint didn’t know why, but if it used its own formatted partition, it would not start with 0. , which will lead to the above problem starting from the misalignment of xxxx bytes. The next two partitions are the same (remember to select ext4 for the fat32 one). As long as you do not click the format check box, you can successfully install LinuxMint later. ..LALALALALALLA~~
