Fontconfig error: "/etc/fonts/conf.d/65-khmer.conf", line 14: out of memory
Fontconfig error: "/etc/fonts/conf.d/65-khmer.conf", line 23: out of memory
Fontconfig error: "/etc/fonts/conf.d/65-khmer.conf", line 32: out of memory

Okay, I solved this problem myself.
The idea is to enter CtrlAltF1 and plug in the Internet cable. Fortunately, there is a network, so apt-get update && apt-get upgrade
When upgrading, you are prompted to -f install some packages, so do so
So began the long setting up......
After the end, I upgraded again, and then started the long setting up...
I don’t know what else to do after it’s over, so restart.
That’s it, the system has been updated to 14.04LTS.
This kind of repair is probably done by chance. Thanks again to all those who helped!

Ubuntu upgrade is not done well, problems often occur, and the upgrade effect is not as good as reinstalling. You can connect to the Internet via wired network first, and then copy the data out

I encountered this situation when installing Ubuntu on VBox. From the prompts, it seems that the graphics device such as the graphics card does not have a driver. I don’t know the specific solution. But you can back up the data first and then consider reinstalling.
If you made a /home partition when partitioning, the partition will not be included in the reinstallation, and the data will be there.

I have never been successful in upgrading Ubuntu. Try arch or gentoo. You can copy files from livecd

If the data is not in the disk where the root directory is, just reinstall it directly. For a safe point, you can use a USB flash drive to make a simple system like puppy first, copy the data out and then reinstall it
