Installation of maatwebsite/excel failed

So I want to install maatwebsite/excel, and I tried several methods without success. Can anyone help me. I use laravel v 9 and php v 8.1

    1. Go to the php.ini file in C:\xampp\php
    2. Search this;extension=gd
    3. Delete;Then restart xampp
    4. Add "maatwebsite/excel": "^3.0" to "require" in the composer.json
    5. file
    6. Runcomposer updates custom website/excel

    edit: For those facing this issue on Ubuntu-Debain operating systems, just run the following command to install the php-gd extension:

    sudo apt-get install php8.1-gd // for php8.1
    sudo apt-get install php8.2-gd // for php8.2
