What is the prerequisite for enabling the PHP slow query log? Does it have to be run in fpm mode?

Does the prerequisite for php slow query log to be enabled be that it must be run in fpm mode?

    fpm is already built-in in php5.3, it’s ok

    Slow log query records can only be configured in php-fpm.ini.
