Does anyone still use PAD diagrams or N-S diagrams during software development?

I am still studying, and I am studying software engineering this semester. When the teacher was explaining the detailed design, the assignment was to give a piece of code to use flow charts, PAD diagrams, and N-S diagrams to implement logic. I feel that PAD diagrams and N-S diagrams are very troublesome to draw, and the logic of expression is not as clear as flow charts. I would like to know if anyone still uses these two tools, PAD diagrams and N-S diagrams, in the production process?

I have never used it in the two small companies I have worked for, but some large companies are said to have these things. Software engineering things really need to be upgraded and updated, and they have to be combined with the development situation of the next century. You can take a look at "The Method of Construction" This book, compared to "Software Engineering", I don't know which book is in your school, you can compare it
