If your web server is hosted with an Internet Service Provider (ISP, full name Internet Service Provider), you must look for a SQL hosting plan.

The most common SQL host databases are MySQL, MS SQL Server and MS Access.

You can run SQL Host Database on Windows and Linux/UNIX operating systems.

The following is an overview of the corresponding database system running on the operating system.

MS SQL Server

Only runs on Windows OS.

MySQL

Runs on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux/UNIX operating systems.

MS Access (Recommended for small websites only)

Runs on Windows OS only.
