Settle in and become a developer

To use any facilities of the open platform, you must first become an open platform developer.
Open the open platform homepage, log in with a Taobao account,
click on the upper right corner of the open platform, submit the developer information, and complete the developer registration.

Choose the correct application tag

The open platform currently divides all open businesses into mobile applications, e-commerce management, and advertising Promotion and 4 other categories.

• Mobile applications
  Open services based on different mobile platforms, including mobile phones (tablets), YunOS, TvOS and connected car platforms;
• 电商 Management
  Based on the Taobao/Tmall business platform, it provides merchants or third-party developers with access methods to develop IT software to manage e-commerce businesses. Different options can be selected according to the target objects and the business needs implemented. Application tags, such as for merchants, for tool service providers, for code providers, etc.
• Advertising promotion
  Open access methods based on Alimama advertising or Taobao customer system
• Others
  Opening of innovative business and technical capabilities such as communications and security

Apply for application tag permissions

Select application permissions and submit developer information according to the process guidance

The picture shows the information requirements for interactive application applications. Different application labels will have different requirements for information submission.
Generally, application tags require a review cycle of 5-7 working days. A small number of businesses do not require review due to strong demand. Please follow the process prompts.

Create Application

The application label has been obtained After obtaining permission, you can directly select Apply for Permission Application tab and Create Application in Console-Create Application Page

Fill in the application name to complete the application creation.

Get AppKey and AppSecret

Enter application management. You can view App Key and App Secret in the APP certificate on the overview page. At the same time, on this page, you can view the api permissions that have been obtained and the api permissions that can be reapplied. For details, please check

Publish and go online

After the application development and testing is completed, it can be online after it is submitted and passed through the security scan. Applications that are not online will be limited to 5,000 API calls per day, and applications that are not online within 3 months will be deleted by the system.
