Version en ligne de commande de Google Translate : Translate Shell

J'ai beaucoup écrit sur les applications CLI. Récemment, j'ai découvert certains outils CLI de Google comme « Google Translator », « Google Calendar » et « Google Contacts ». Ici, je veux le partager avec vous.

Aujourd'hui, nous allons vous présenter l'outil « Google Translator ». Comme ma langue maternelle est le tamoul, il m’a fallu plusieurs fois par jour pour en comprendre le sens.

Google Translate est largement utilisé par des personnes parlant d'autres langues.

Qu'est-ce que Translate Shell

Translate Shell[1] (anciennement Google Translate CLI) est un traducteur en ligne de commande qui utilise Google Translate (par défaut), Bing Translate, Yandex.Translate et Apertium pour traduire. Il vous donne accès à ces moteurs de traduction dans votre terminal. Translate Shell est disponible sur la plupart des distributions Linux.

Comment installer Translate Shell

Il existe trois façons d’installer Translate Shell.

• Téléchargez l'exécutable autonome
• Installation manuelle
• Installer via le gestionnaire de packages

Méthode 1 : Téléchargez le fichier exécutable autonome

Téléchargez le fichier exécutable autonome dans le répertoire /usr/bin.

$ wget git.io/trans
$ chmod +x ./trans
$ sudo mv trans /usr/bin/

Méthode 2 : Installation manuelle

Clonez le référentiel GitHub de Translate Shell et compilez-le manuellement.

$ git clone https://github.com/soimort/translate-shell && cd translate-shell
$ make
$ sudo make install

Méthode 3 : via le gestionnaire de packages

Certaines distributions incluent Translate Shell dans leurs référentiels officiels et peuvent être installées via le gestionnaire de packages.

Pour Debian/Ubuntu, utilisez la commande APT-GET [2] ou la commande APT [3] pour installer.

$ sudo apt-get install translate-shell

Pour Fedora, utilisez la commande DNF[4] pour installer.

$ sudo dnf install translate-shell

Pour les systèmes basés sur Arch Linux, utilisez la commande Yaourt[5] ou Packer Mingkuai[6] pour installer à partir du référentiel AUR.

$ yaourt -S translate-shell
or
$ packer -S translate-shell

Comment utiliser Translate Shell

安装好后，打开终端闭关输入下面命令。 谷歌翻译会自动探测源文本是哪种语言，并且在默认情况下将之翻译成你的 locale 所对应的语言。

$ trans [Words]

下面我将泰米尔语中的单词 “நன்றி” (Nanri) 翻译成英语。 这个单词的意思是感谢别人。

$ trans நன்றி

简洁模式：默认情况下，Translate Shell 尽可能多的显示翻译信息。如果你希望只显示简要信息，只需要加上 -b选项。

字典模式：加上 -d 可以把 Translate Shell 当成字典来用。
