According to news on April 28, Huawei’s Pura 70 series is equipped with the latest Kirin 9010 processor, which is shrouded in mystery like its predecessors. However, the authoritative organization TechInsights made a surprising discovery after preliminary research.
TechInsights believes that Kirin 9010 is manufactured by SMIC and the process used is the second generation 7nm, which is N2.
The Kirin 9000S previously installed in Huawei Mate 60 Pro also uses the same manufacturing process.
The Kirin 9010 CPU configuration specifications are the same as the Kirin 9000S. It still includes an ultra-high-performance Taishan architecture large core, three high-performance Taishan architecture large cores, and four low-power A510 small cores.
The only difference is that the highest frequency of Kirin 9000S can reach 2.62GHz, while the Kirin 9010 has only 2.3GHz.
As for the ultra-large core and large-core multi-threading technology, it is still not fully confirmed, so some software will identify it as 2 6 4 cores.
In addition, Pura 70 is equipped with up to 16GB of memory, while Mate 60 Pro only has 12GB. It is speculated that the memory controller may have been upgraded, but it is not confirmed whether it is related to Kirin 9010 itself.
