Apple discontinues production of FineWoven accessories, user feedback quality issues become key
News on April 22: Recently, according to well-known Apple product whistleblower Kosutami, Apple has decided to terminate the production of iPhone cases and Apple Watch straps made of FineWoven (fine woven twill) material. FineWoven material will debut at the iPhone 15 series new product launch in September 2023. Its original intention is to replace traditional leather accessories materials.
#However, after the new material was launched, many users expressed doubts about its durability and feel. Especially after a period of use, this material is prone to peeling and scratches, which raises consumer concerns about product quality.
Apple originally launched FineWoven mainly out of environmental considerations. Apple has emphasized that the material has a "durable microfiber texture" and a "suede-like" feel. What's more, FineWoven contains up to 68% recycled materials, and the carbon emissions during production are much lower than leather products. Nonetheless, due to less than positive user feedback, Apple completely removed leather accessories from its shelves after the launch of FineWoven.
Although Apple has not officially announced the discontinuation of FineWoven accessories, according to Kosutami, production of the product has indeed been stopped. Currently, there is still some inventory available for purchase on Apple’s official website, but it is expected that the inventory will be sold out soon.
Going forward, Apple plans to introduce another non-leather material to replace FineWoven. The specific details of the new material may be announced at the launch of the iPhone 16 series later this year. User concerns about the durability and quality of FineWoven materials may be the main reason for Apple to make this decision.

mPDF is a PHP library that can generate PDF files from UTF-8 encoded HTML. The original author, Ian Back, wrote mPDF to output PDF files "on the fly" from his website and handle different languages. It is slower than original scripts like HTML2FPDF and produces larger files when using Unicode fonts, but supports CSS styles etc. and has a lot of enhancements. Supports almost all languages, including RTL (Arabic and Hebrew) and CJK (Chinese, Japanese and Korean). Supports nested block-level elements (such as P, DIV),
