According to news from this site on April 15, MSI has begun to launch AGESA 1.1.7.0 BIOS update for AM5 motherboards. Officially announced support for the next generation AMD Ryzen processor.
According to our inquiry, the MSI MPG B650 CARBON WIFI motherboard has received a beta BIOS update on April 12th. The official update record is:
- AGESA ComboPI 1.1.7.0 Patch A updated for next-gen CPU.
Previously, ASUS has pushed AGESA 1.1 for some X670E motherboards. 7.0 update, but there is no mention of support for the next generation AMD Ryzen processor in the official update record. MSI is the first official announcement of this news.
The next generation AMD Zen 5 desktop processor is codenamed Granite Ridge and is expected to be named Ryzen 9000 series processor. Currently, two models have been exposed:
