According to news on April 15, Huawei previously announced that it will officially launch HarmonyOS NEXT, the pure-blood version of Hongmeng, in the fourth quarter of this year.
Recently, some netizens exposed the pure-blood Hongmeng system interface on Mate 60. According to the blogger, native Android apps are no longer available in the new version.
He pointed out that some local applications with a large amount of data (such as WeChat chat and note-taking software) may require special processing, otherwise the user experience will be affected even if it is pulled from the cloud again.
It is reported that the first model equipped with a pure-blood version of Hongmeng may be the Mate 70, which is planned to be released together with the iPhone 16 series in September this year (or postponed to October).
It has been revealed that when the Huawei Mate 70 series is released, users may witness the full version of HarmonyOS NEXT, which indicates that Huawei may make a major breakthrough in the system.
As of now, more than 4,000 applications have joined the Hongmeng ecosystem. Compared with the first batch of 200 apps announced in January, this shows that the number of Hongmeng native apps has grown 20 times in just two months.
This data growth shows the rapid progress of Hongmeng ecosystem construction, making it one step closer to the goal.
Huawei Terminal Cloud President Zhu Yonggang said at the beginning of this year that Huawei hopes to work with partners to create 5,000 "pure-blooded" Hongmeng native applications in 2024.
