据国外媒体报道,美国互联网市场调研机构NetCraft日前发布了2006年4月份的网站统计数据。数据显示,到今年4月份,全球网站数量已经超过了8000万。

  据统计,NetCraft统计的网站数量为80,655,992个,比三月份增加了310万个。比半年前2005年10月份统计的74,409,971个增加了近600万个。互联网发展在全球继续呈现快速增长趋势,2003年4月份,全球网站数量还停留在4000万个。在过去三年中,全球网站数量已经翻了一倍。

  统计还显示,WEB服务器市场中,基于Linux的Apache依然是网站主的第一选择。目前,Linux及Apache在网站操作系统及WEB服务器软件市场的份额为62.7%,由于价格高昂和安全性不足,微软的Windows操作系统以及IIS WEB服务器软件的市场占有率仅为25.2%。

  从2005年10月份至今,基于Linux的Apache平台已从49,598,424个增至50,571,307个,增加近百万。

  对于开源业界来说,由于Linux、Apache均免费,此外还有免费数据MySQL、服务器脚本语言PHP共同构建了广受追捧的“LAMP”套件,性价比极高,因此非常受获得网站开发人员的欢迎。而Windows软件非免费,数据库SQL Server和Access均收费,尽管其IIS服务器软件、脚本语言ASP(ASP.NET)目前在施行免费赠送,但对广大网站主来说,依然是一笔不小的开支。

  拿互联网社区来说,国外最知名的三大BBS软件提供商IPB、VBB、PHPBB等均基于Linux的LAMP平台。使用php技术。包括Yahoo!等全球最知名的网站均是php平台的支持者。

  在国内,市场占有率最高的社区BBS软件Discuz!也是LAMP平台的长期支持者,其中,大型社区平台因安全性考虑,采用Windows软件平台的寥寥无几。由于微软逐步放弃落后的ASP平台的升级而转往新平台.net,一大批基于asp平台的BBS软件均出现了前景危机,比如,动网论坛Dvbbs则在今年3月底对外宣布将重新开发基于php平台的BBS软件,从而逐渐放弃日渐衰弱的asp平台。

  随着社区BBS及Web2.0应用的普及,以及国内php技术支持者的不断增加,业内人士预计,在服务器平台及软件方面,Linux和Apache市场占有率将在未来两年内取得更高的市场分额。(n106)
