Win11 users reported that problems such as blue screens and lags occurred after installing Microsoft’s March update. PHP editor Apple reminds that it may be related to update file compatibility and driver issues. It is recommended to try restarting the device or check and update the driver first. If the problem persists, you can try to restore to the previous system version or contact relevant technical support for help. It is best to back up important data before installing updates to avoid unnecessary losses.
Affected users reported that the blue screen error page displayed "Thread Stuck in Device Driver" (a thread in the device driver is stuck). A Lenovo user reported that after installing KB5035853 on a device with Bitlocker, the hardware failed to boot and a Blue Screen of Death occurred.
Another user reported:
After installing KB5035853 on multiple of my AMD hosts (all models 21B9), I experienced a blue screen loop requesting the Bitlocker code. Five devices are experiencing a Blue Screen of Death after installing the update, and are currently unable to uninstall the update.
There is also feedback from Windows 11 users that after installing Microsoft’s March 2024 cumulative update KB5035853, a transparent bug appears on the taskbar. This may be caused by an incompatibility with the KB5035853 update in third-party modification tools such as ExplorerPatcher, which typically customize the taskbar, Start menu, and other Windows components.
Attached are the screenshots as follows:
Foreign technology media Windows Report actually measured that on the workstation running KB5035853, the taskbar did not change after the update. But as soon as ExplorerPatcher is installed, the taskbar becomes transparent. This shows that these third-party modification tools are not compatible with this update.
Note: The latest version of ExplorerPatcher 22621.3296.64.1 has fixed this problem.
