On March 28, Pat Ruelke, chief engineer of Tesla IT Manufacturing Solutions Engineering, showed on LinkedIn that Tesla is developing "private 5G" infrastructure to provide connectivity for its electric vehicles and Optimus humanoid robots.

He said that Tesla is looking for a cellular network system integration engineer, hoping to provide stronger network connection solutions for all Tesla models and Optimus Optimus robots. This position involves understanding internal customer needs, planning and executing test procedures, and seamlessly and reliably integrating eSIM into Tesla's private 5G network infrastructure.
