Data shows that the price segment of China’s smartphone market will continue to see a K-shaped differentiation trend in 2023.
The market share of high-end products priced above US$600 (approximately 4,306 yuan) reached 27.4%, a year-on-year increase of 3.7 percentage points.
At the same time, the market share of low-end products priced below US$200 (approximately 1,435 yuan) recovered to 27.5%, a year-on-year increase of 5.2 percentage points.
Judging from the trend, from 2019 to 2023, the sales of mobile phones at the price range of US$400-600 (approximately 2,870 yuan-4,306 yuan) continued to decline, with only 10.4% in 2023.
IDC said that while high-end consumers maintain their purchasing power, more mid-range users are beginning to upgrade to flagship products to extend the replacement cycle.
