It is reported that the Arrow Lake desktop processor, expected to be released at the end of the year, will be equipped with a Thunderbolt 5 controller code-named "Barlow Ridge". Intel Arrow Lake-S desktop processors will provide PCIe Gen5 hardware support without the need to split between discrete PCIe and M.2 PCIe aisle.
