HTML5 implements an example of accessing local files_html5 tutorial skills
In the previous articles, I shared several HTML5 examples with you, including drag-and-drop function demonstration, page content editable demonstration and local storage function demonstration. Today, I will share with you a simple application to demonstrate how to use FileReader. FileReader is a file operation API provided in HTML5.
When you were looking at the HTML 5 example I wrote earlier, I was thinking about creating a simple but applicable example to practice these new HTML5 features in a more novel way. My goal is not to simply demonstrate these HTML 5 APIs, but to use examples to show developers how to actually implement these APIs in a practical and innovative way.
In HTML5, accessing the local file system from a Web page becomes very simple, that is, using the File API. This File specification provides an API to represent file objects in web applications. You can select them and access their information programmatically. This File API includes:
A FileList sequence, representing an array composed of individual files selected in the local system. The user interface for selecting files can be implemented by calling .
A Blob interface, which represents raw binary data. Through the Blob object, you can access the byte data inside.
A File interface, which stores read-only attribute information of the file, such as file name, file type, and file data access address.
A FileReader interface, which provides methods for reading a file and an event model for obtaining file reading results.
A FileError interface and a FileException object, which are used to define the error conditions in this specification.
How to use this example: In this example, I have given an artboard, and you can drag an image into it from the local file system, or you can also use the file selection box to select an image. In the example, please only select image files, I did not add file filtering and file type checking. Please keep in mind that no browser fully implements HTML5. This example needs to be run on a browser that supports HTML5, such as Firefox 3.5 or above.
The main method to implement the File API is very simple, as below:
function imagesSelected(myFiles) {
for (var i = 0, f; f = myFiles[i]; i) {
var imageReader = new FileReader();
imageReader.onload = (function(aFile) {
return function(e) {
var span = document.createElement('span');
span.innerHTML = ['
document. getElementById('thumbs').insertBefore(span, null);
};
})(f);
imageReader.readAsDataURL(f);
}
}
function dropIt(e) {
imagesSelected(e.dataTransfer.files);
e.stopPropagation();
e.preventDefault();
}
I select Place my ondrop event on
In this example, I'm just dragging a local file into the artboard, but I think it shows you how simple the File API is. powerful ability

HTML5 is a key technology for building modern web pages, providing many new elements and features. 1. HTML5 introduces semantic elements such as, , etc., which enhances web page structure and SEO. 2. Support multimedia elements and embed media without plug-ins. 3. Forms enhance new input types and verification properties, simplifying the verification process. 4. Offer offline and local storage functions to improve web page performance and user experience.

Best practices for H5 code include: 1. Use correct DOCTYPE declarations and character encoding; 2. Use semantic tags; 3. Reduce HTTP requests; 4. Use asynchronous loading; 5. Optimize images. These practices can improve the efficiency, maintainability and user experience of web pages.

Web standards and technologies have evolved from HTML4, CSS2 and simple JavaScript to date and have undergone significant developments. 1) HTML5 introduces APIs such as Canvas and WebStorage, which enhances the complexity and interactivity of web applications. 2) CSS3 adds animation and transition functions to make the page more effective. 3) JavaScript improves development efficiency and code readability through modern syntax of Node.js and ES6, such as arrow functions and classes. These changes have promoted the development of performance optimization and best practices of web applications.

H5 is not just the abbreviation of HTML5, it represents a wider modern web development technology ecosystem: 1. H5 includes HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and related APIs and technologies; 2. It provides a richer, interactive and smooth user experience, and can run seamlessly on multiple devices; 3. Using the H5 technology stack, you can create responsive web pages and complex interactive functions.

H5 and HTML5 refer to the same thing, namely HTML5. HTML5 is the fifth version of HTML, bringing new features such as semantic tags, multimedia support, canvas and graphics, offline storage and local storage, improving the expressiveness and interactivity of web pages.

The tools and frameworks that need to be mastered in H5 development include Vue.js, React and Webpack. 1.Vue.js is suitable for building user interfaces and supports component development. 2.React optimizes page rendering through virtual DOM, suitable for complex applications. 3.Webpack is used for module packaging and optimize resource loading.
