According to news from this site on January 12, MSI is about to launch the Spatium M580 Gen5 SSD, which is claimed to be equipped with the world's first liquid-cooled fully integrated hybrid cooling solution suitable for PCIe 5.0 SSD.
According to the pictures taken by foreign media Wccftech, this Spatium M580 FROZR Liquid Gen5 SSD is connected to a standard heat sink The heat sink contains a heat transfer base that is in direct contact with the SSD master and NAND flash memory. This heat is transferred to a purpose-built radiator that has well-routed ducts and fins, a turbo fan and water cooling.
According to MSI, the Spatium M580 Frozr Liquid SSD will be available in three capacity versions: 1TB, 2TB and 4TB, supporting up to 14 GB/s read speed and 12 GB/s write speed.
In addition to liquid-cooled models, the Spatium M580 series will also offer standard fan-cooled Frozr models that include Torx 5.0 fans. The fan is claimed to provide 23% more airflow compared to traditional fan designs and cools a large heatsink that features 6mm heat pipes for better cooling.
MSI also showed off the new Spatum NVMe M.2 portable hard drive enclosure, which is equipped with a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C interface and is rated at 20 Gbps. It supports M.2 SSD (2242/2260/2280) and complies with IP68 dustproof and waterproof standard.
MSI officials did not disclose when these two products will be launched, and this site does not expect the prices to be cheap.
