It is reported that iPhone 16 will use new OLED materials, which may be more power-saving screen!

The iPhone 15 series launched by Apple this year uses M12 material screens produced by Samsung. The iPhone 16 series expected to be released next year will use the newly developed M14 screen for the first time. This new M14 screen is a new OLED material designed by Samsung specifically for Apple. The different compositions of the material can change the properties of the OLED panel, such as lifespan, brightness, color accuracy or manufacturing efficiency. The material set includes various components used in OLED screens, such as the cover layer (CPL) used to adjust the optical properties of the screen. Each component is produced by a specialized manufacturer and supplied to Samsung, which then uses them to create the final OLED panel.

The new M14 screen uses phosphorescent OLED material, replacing the previous fluorescent OLED material. Compared with fluorescent OLEDs, phosphorescent OLEDs can significantly reduce the power consumption of the entire OLED panel. The main difference is its internal quantum efficiency (IQE). Due to different light-emitting mechanisms, fluorescent OLEDs rely on activated states to emit light, while phosphorescent OLEDs rely on triplet states to emit light, and their efficiency can reach four times that of fluorescent materials. The iPhone 16 screen using new OLED materials will save more power.

After using the M16 screen developed by Samsung, it is expected that the iPhone 17 series will continue to use this type of screen in the future, which will extend the application period of Apple’s OLED materials Extended to two years.

mPDF

mPDF is a PHP library that can generate PDF files from UTF-8 encoded HTML. The original author, Ian Back, wrote mPDF to output PDF files "on the fly" from his website and handle different languages. It is slower than original scripts like HTML2FPDF and produces larger files when using Unicode fonts, but supports CSS styles etc. and has a lot of enhancements. Supports almost all languages, including RTL (Arabic and Hebrew) and CJK (Chinese, Japanese and Korean). Supports nested block-level elements (such as P, DIV),
