News from this site on January 8, @wxnod exposed photos of an Intel Core i5-14490F processor, and revealed that it will adopt a 10-core 16-thread (6 P core, 4 E core) configuration, with a maximum frequency of up to 5.1 GHz.
In other respects, the Intel Core i5-14490F has a base frequency of 2.5 GHz, a maximum turbo frequency of up to 5.0 GHz, and a base TDP of 65W, which is slightly higher than the i5-14400.
There is no doubt that this particular processor belongs to Intel's "black box" series and is expected to succeed the existing Core i5-13490F processor (currently priced at 1,499 yuan).
Judging from the parameters, this processor is 300 MHz higher than the i5-14400F, and even 400 MHz higher than the previous generation Core i5-13490F. Obviously, the performance improvement will not be small.
Referring to Intel’s previous strategy, China’s special CPU pricing may be slightly higher than the i5-14400, and the latter is expected to be around US$221 (note on this site: currently about 1,582 yuan).
Currently, Intel’s “black box” CPUs are usually launched for the Chinese market and are slightly more cost-effective than i5/i7 at the same level. We cannot confirm this i5-14490F at the moment. Whether it will be launched globally or limited to the Asia-Pacific region.
