Samsung faces lawsuit over accusations of fixing TV prices in Netherlands

Samsung Electronics faces a class action lawsuit from the Dutch Consumer Association and the Consumer Competition Claims Foundation, accusing it of fixing TV prices between 2013 and 2018

The two consumer rights groups claim that,Samsung allegedly pressured Dutch retailers not to sell Samsung TVs below specified prices. Samsung is also reportedly actively monitoring Dutch retailers' compliance with these price regulations.

According to a report by the Consumer Association, Samsung’s pricing strategy caused Dutch consumers to spend an average of 100 euros (approximately 782 yuan) more when buying TVs between 2013 and 2018.
