SAP unveils comprehensive set of generative AI capabilities and advances

(Global TMT, November 2, 2023) At the 2023 SAP TechEd technology conference, SAP launched a comprehensive series of generative AI capabilities and advances, including traditional code development tools embedded with AI technology, as well as a one-stop platform, relying on SAP BTP (Business Technology Cloud Platform) to develop generative AI extensions and applications.

SAP launches SAP Build Code solution, specially built for SAP applications and ecosystems, providing developers with AI-driven productivity tools and optimized for Java and Java development environments. In addition, SAP Build Code makes full use of Joule's capabilities to further improve work efficiency. It embeds code generation capabilities that can be used to create data models, application logic, and test scripts. SAP HANA Cloud adds new vector database capabilities to its multi-model offering at no additional cost. AI Foundation is a new one-stop platform that supports developers to rely on SAP BTP to develop extended components and applications based on AI and generative AI, helping to further improve developers' influence and work efficiency. SAP also launched new role-based certifications and free learning resources for back-end developers using the ABAP Cloud development model, and joined the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered AI’s enterprise membership program.
