Apple today announced significant price increases for several of its services, including Apple TV, Apple Arcade and Apple News. The cost of Apple One bundles has also increased due to higher individual prices.
In the US, Apple TV now costs $9.99 per month, up from $6.99 per month. Apple Arcade is up $2 to $6.99, and Apple News is now $12.99 per month, up from $9.99 per month. Apple One Personal and Family are $3 more expensive, while Premier is $5 more. Prices are rising in most countries where Apple services are available.
If you're not happy with the new price points for Apple services, you can cancel quickly and easily. Here's how to do it on an iPhone or iPad:
After canceling your subscription, your service will continue to be accessible until your next billing date. So if you pay for a year of Apple TV, for example, it will be available until your payment expires. Apple One is only available on a monthly basis, so you have up to a month before you use up your access.
If you need to cancel your subscription on Mac, the process is similar. Open the System Settings app, click on your profile picture, select Media & Purchases, then select Manage under Subscription options. From there, you can follow the same steps listed above.
Apple is increasing prices for new users starting today, but Apple is giving existing users a 30-day grace period. After 30 days, existing subscribers will see the new price on their next renewal date. Apple may send out emails before price increases.
