As spotted by Leopeva64 on X and verified by us, Microsoft is bringing the mica effect back to Edge’s title bar and toolbar.
For those who don’t know, Mica is a dynamic material exclusive to Windows 11 that bridges the gap between themes and desktop wallpapers by painting the background of your application windows with the desktop background. This change can be enabled via a flag in the latest canary version of Microsoft Edge on Windows 11.
To enable the effect, users can follow these steps:

In addition to the Mica Effect, Microsoft is also bringing other changes to Edge. With the advent of browser version 118, Microsoft has made some changes to Edge.
For example, the Bing icon on the sidebar has been removed and replaced by Copilot, Microsoft’s new AI assistant. Microsoft has also refreshed the internal pages of Bing Chat AI to specify that Bing is now Copilot for the Edge browser.
This does not change the existing behavior of AI in Edge, you can still find all content of Copilot in the browser, including PDF pages and mini context menus.
