According to news on October 16, FAW Hongqi’s latest model, the brand-new Hongqi L5 sedan, was officially unveiled in the 376th batch of "Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturer and Product Announcement". This classic retro model was first exposed at the 2023 Shanghai Auto Show and is now officially included in the production plan.

Judging from the appearance of the vehicle, the new generation Hongqi L5 sedan continues the classic Hongqi CA770 design while making some subtle improvements. The round headlights and the streamlined red flag stand on the front are still retained, but some improvements have been made in details, especially the center grille on the front face that is more eye-catching, making the vehicle look more majestic.

In appearance, this car adopts a blue and white two-color design, and also provides the optional configuration of a single-color body. This design is somewhat similar to the two-color customized version in 2019. Compared with the 2014 model, the overall body size of the new generation Hongqi L5 has increased. The length, width and height have increased from 5555x2018x1578mm to 5980x2090x1710mm respectively, and the wheelbase has also been extended from 3435mm to 3730mm.

In terms of performance, this car is equipped with an engine with a displacement of 3988 cc, a maximum power of 285 kilowatts, and a top speed of 220 km/h. Information from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's declaration form shows that this model is equipped with a V8T/V12 engine independently developed by FAW-Hongqi, making it the only domestic sedan model with this engine configuration.
