Microsoft today announced the release of Windows 11 Preview Build 23545 to Developer Channel Insiders. Microsoft has also released an ISO for Windows 11 Preview Build 23545. This is a minor update that brings some improvements to the native file sharing experience on Windows 11.
First, Microsoft is rolling out the ability to quickly give devices more friendly names to identify shares with nearby ones. You can set a preferred name for your Windows 11 PC under Settings under >System>Nearby Sharing.
Secondly, Microsoft has introduced the ability to view Microsoft Teams (work or school) contacts and send files to them directly in the built-in Windows sharing window. This experience is only available if you sign in with an Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) account.
In this new Windows 11 Insider build, Microsoft is also testing some different experiences when you click on the search highlight in the search box.
