Now business users can finally use Microsoft Clipchamp Enterprise Edition. According to Microsoft in its official blog, they plan to release it through a targeted release program in the next few weeks.
“The power of Clipchamp’s user-friendly interface, accessed through a web browser, allows anyone to confidently create professional-looking videos with no experience,” said General Manager, Microsoft 365, Redmond Stefan Kinnestrand said.
Starting in late August, users or tenants who opt into the targeted release will be the first production users to see Clipchamp in their Microsoft 365 accounts. Over the next few weeks, IT administrators will have access to review set criteria or targeted release options to decide whether to enroll their organization in Clipchamp.
The million dollar question is, what can you do with Microsoft Clipchamp?
Well, thanks to its user-friendly interface, the video editing platform offers a wide range of features including drag-and-drop editing, multi-track timeline, various video effects and transitions, recording from webcam or screen, and Import videos and images from your computer or the cloud.
If you remember, Windows Movie Maker was a popular video editing application on Windows in the early days, but it has been discontinued in Windows 10. Subsequently, Microsoft acquired Clipchamp and made it a pre-installed application for Windows 11. Some criticized Clipchamp for being "immature" and "too expensive" at the time, but will Microsoft Clipchamp Enterprise move in the right direction? We'll see.
