

Android apps on Windows 11 now available in Release Preview channel, but only in the US

Today, Microsoft released a small update for Windows 11 Insiders. While it's not a huge amount, it's still important because it brings Android app support to the Windows 11 Release Channel Preview Channel. This blog post is simply an update to the Beta Channel’s October announcement post.

Android™ app previews on Windows 11 are now available to Windows Insiders in the Release Preview channel in the US
This means a public release of the feature isn't too far away, but readers can probably expect it after Microsoft announced it earlier today.
Getting Started:
- Your PC needs to be running Windows 11 (Build 22000.xxx series version) and meet these hardware requirements.
- You may need to enable virtualization for your PC's BIOS/UEFI. Click here for a tutorial on how to enable this feature on your PC.
- Your PC's region must be set to the United States
- Your PC must be in the Beta channel. If you're new to the Windows Insider Program, click here to start signing up and join your PC in the beta channel.
