Microsoft has been testing Windows Feature Experience Pack for the past two years, but its true purpose is somewhat unknown. If you're using Windows 11, you've already downloaded and installed two experience packs - Windows Features and Web Experience Packs.
Microsoft has yet to harness the true potential of Feature Experience Packs. As we previously reported, Windows Experience Packs will separate some features from the core Windows operating system or primary functionality. This will allow companies to update certain features or introduce support for Android apps without releasing a new version of Windows 11.
So far, the Windows Experience Pack has been all about small improvements and bug fixes to File Explorer, Snipping Tool, and other areas of the operating system. In a new announcement, Microsoft has confirmed that the Windows 11 Insiders channel will be updated to access new experimental features.
These new features will be available through the Windows Features, Web, and Online Services Experience Pack on top of preview builds.
Microsoft said: "We will also provide updates to features and experiences in builds from the Dev and Beta channels by releasing feature, web, and online services experience packs on top of these builds."
Microsoft will enable experimental or hidden features in Windows 11
As you may know, some developers have noticed features that are intentionally disabled in preview builds.
Microsoft now wants to enable beta features for more users and trial certain features in phases to monitor quality and test changes.

For example, Windows Web Experience Pack updates can enable new features in the Windows 11 Widget board. Likewise, Microsoft can push changes to Windows settings using feature packs. As mentioned, these concepts may or may not be released, but Microsoft will be testing the changes with more users to improve the experience for everyone.
Of course, there's no guarantee that changes in the Dev channel or Experience Pack will eventually roll out to everyone as part of a major Windows Patch Tuesday or feature update.
Later this month, Microsoft will begin rolling out Android apps, taskbars, and other improvements to the public. Currently, we don't have any information on how Microsoft plans to enable the feature, but it's possible that it will be possible in part through an experience pack.
It’s also important to remember that Windows 11 will enter the annual feature update program starting this year. In addition to the Experience Pack, you can also look forward to exciting features in the Windows 11 Fall 2022 Update.
October is the target at this time, and you can expect drag-and-drop support for the taskbar and more.
The above is the detailed content of Microsoft plans to release new experimental features for Windows 11. For more information, please follow other related articles on the PHP Chinese website!

Supports almost all languages, including RTL (Arabic and Hebrew) and CJK (Chinese, Japanese and Korean). Supports nested block-level elements (such as P, DIV),
