微软警告 Windows 11 最新更新问题可能会阻止桌面登录

If you're having issues after updating Windows 11 with the latest cumulative update, you're not alone. Although Windows 11 version 22H2 is imminent and is under active development compared to version 21H2, you may still encounter issues on production devices.

At this point, most of the issues in Windows 11 version 21H2 have been fixed, but some issues will still appear in cumulative updates. The latest update for Windows 11 KB5016691 may break desktop logins and prevent users from accessing their devices.

In a new update to the support documentation, Microsoft quietly confirmed that devices that rely on Microsoft accounts to log in may experience login issues. This bug affects devices that have a new Microsoft account added. Users will be unable to log in for a short period of time, and this usually occurs when you reboot the system or log out.

This bug only affects devices with a Microsoft account (role or enterprise) and has no impact on enterprises using Active Directory domain accounts or Azure Active Directory accounts.

In order to resolve login issues, you only need to wait a few minutes. When you leave the machine idle and the lock screen appears, you should be able to log in as expected.

Microsoft has also started rolling out emergency patches to resolve these login issues on Windows 11. Server-side updates can take up to 24 hours to automatically propagate to consumer devices, but you can always reboot your system multiple times to quickly apply the fix.

Another known issue affects the XPS Viewer, where the application will be unable to open XML Paper Specification (XPS) documents in certain non-English languages. This includes Japanese and Chinese character encodings. Microsoft says the issue is apparent in both XML Paper Specification (XPS) and Open XML Paper Specification (OXPS) files.

However, it won't affect most home users as the feature itself takes longer to install by default.
