EVGA RTX 3090 Ti Kingpin features dual 12-pin power connectors that can reach up to 1275W

EVGA RTX 3090 Ti Kingpin variant, possibly the craziest 3090 Ti on the market, will allegedly come with not one, but two of Nvidia’s 12-pin power connectors . Nvidia will be moving from the triple 8-pin connector previously used on the EVGA 3090 Kingpin to this dual 12-pin power connector design.
The 3090 Ti Kingpin is also priced higher than its 3090 sibling. That means the EVGA RTX 3090 Ti Kingpin's official MSRP (which doesn't mean much right now) could be around $2,500.
EVGA will cease production of the Kingpin 3090 once the Ti launches, which in terms of the latter's availability is expected to be around March or the end of the first quarter of 2022.

NVIDIA has introduced a 12-pin power connector with the launch of the 2020 RTX 3000 series Founders Edition cards.

Each of these 12-pin connectors is theoretically capable of delivering up to 600W of power. So two of them on the EVGA RTX 3090 Ti, along with the PCIe slots, can deliver up to 1275W of power to the card. It's unlikely that the card will consistently draw that much power, but these are enthusiast-grade products, so manufacturers often go overboard with such products.
The above is the detailed content of EVGA RTX 3090 Ti Kingpin features dual 12-pin power connectors that can reach up to 1275W. For more information, please follow other related articles on the PHP Chinese website!
