Apple's Studio Display has an A13 Bionic chip inside that manages image processing from the built-in camera and spatial audio with Dolby Atmos - so it's basically running a special version of iOS. Interestingly, the current firmware appears to reference a new, unreleased Mac mini that may be coming soon. Studio Display 固件暗示新的 Mac mini 即将推出

Developer Steve Troughton-Smith was the first to spot new Mac mini models in Studio Display firmware. The firmware contains a reference to "Macmini10,1," which is the model ID used by any Mac mini that was never released.

This led developers to believe that the identifier referred to an upcoming Mac mini model. However, details about this model, such as hardware specifications, are not yet known.

Apple has been developing two new versions of the Mac mini: one with the M2 and the other with the M2 Pro chip. The M2 Mac mini, codenamed J473, is expected to launch sometime this year, while the M2 Pro Mac mini (codenamed J474) may launch later.

We've also heard that Apple plans to launch higher-end versions of the current Mac mini with the M1 Pro and M1 Max chips, but they may be scrapped to make way for the Mac Studio.

Apple may announce two new Macs at WWDC 2022 in June. Now that references to the new Mac mini have been found in the Studio Display firmware, it's safe to guess that one of the new computers that will be launched at WWDC is the M2 Mac mini.
