The next major update to Windows 11 will include new features Moment 1 and Moment 2.

Microsoft has not officially confirmed a release date for Windows 11 22H2, but we have heard that the rollout will begin in a few weeks, probably around September 20th. The RTM version is Build 22621, which will come with features such as drag and drop for the taskbar, better Start menu customization options, a new task manager, and more.

Microsoft has been developing Windows 11 22H2 for the past few months, and users in Beta and Dev Channel can already test the update. It’s worth noting that Moment 1 feature bits already exist in Build 22621, but they are currently disabled. If you register your device in the beta channel, you will automatically gain access to hidden features.

The first Moment update (internally known as 228xx) will be removed as a cumulative update in October. The second Moment update (known internally as 229xx) is expected to drop next year.
