Adduplex released its March 2022 report today, revealing the latest data on Windows market share. The company claims that Windows 11 will struggle to gain more users in March 2022, with its market share remaining relatively unchanged.
Windows 11 currently has 19.4% market share, growing just 0.01x through March 2022, according to Adduplex. Unlike stable releases, the number of Windows Insiders has doubled from 0.3% to 0.6%. A wealth of new features and experimental changes, such as tabbed UI in File Explorer, may be the reason more users are willing to try out early Windows 11 builds. Additionally, the first Windows 11 feature updates are now available in the Beta channel, which is generally more stable than Dev.
Windows 10 21H2 is the latest version of the previous Windows version and is still going strong. Additionally, operating systems jumped from 21% to an impressive 28.5%. Windows 10 21H1 dropped from 27.5% to 26.5%. Both versions are still supported, so you shouldn't expect Windows 10 21H2 and 21H1 to lose any ground in the coming months unless Microsoft does the unthinkable and starts forcing users to update to Windows 11.
Here are the most popular Windows versions in the Adduplex survey results:
