In web development, we often need to use jQuery to obtain and process data, and then pass the obtained data to the background program for further processing, and return the processing results to the front end. The background program usually uses PHP language for processing. Therefore, in this case, we need to convert the data obtained by the front-end using jQuery into a PHP array for processing by the background program. This article will introduce how to convert data in jQuery into a PHP array.

1. Data format in jQuery

In jQuery, we usually use the $.ajax() method to obtain and process data asynchronously. When requesting the background program, we need to pass the request parameters to the background program in the form of JSON data.

For example:

$.ajax({

url: 'test.php',
type: 'POST',
dataType: 'json',
data: {
    name: 'John',
    age: 18
},
success: function(data) {
    //处理后台返回的数据
}

});

In this example, we passed two parameters: name and age , where the values are 'John' and 18 respectively.

2. Convert jQuery data into PHP array

We can use PHP’s $_POST variable to receive data from the front end, as shown below:

$name = $_POST['name'];
$age = $_POST['age'];

However, if we need to pass multiple parameters, we need to write a lot of variables to receive the data, which is not convenient , and error-prone. Therefore, we can convert the data passed by the front end into a PHP array for subsequent processing.

1. Use the serializeArray() method

The serializeArray() method can convert all data in the form into an array. For example:

<input type="text" name="name" value="John" />
<input type="text" name="age" value="18" />
