Improvements to Apple Podcasts will take effect next month, including improved analytics and support for those looking to take advantage of paid subscription opportunities.
Apple also announced new show marketing tools...
The key to the improvement is more detailed information about followers.
Starting next month, all creators can view follower metrics in Apple Podcasts Connect.
In the Analytics tab, creators will be able to view followers for each show and easily measure followers across shows. After selecting a show, they can quickly see the number of new followers for the past week, month, 60 days, and all time. They can also view listening time as the percentage of people who are following the show versus those who are not. By navigating to the Trending menu, creators can view a graph of followers over time, as well as the number of followers gained or lost on a specific day or within a specified range.
Listeners who follow a show want to receive new episodes as they become available, so a show's followers can serve as an indicator of likely subscribers. Creators: Remember to encourage listeners to follow your show on Apple Podcasts and subscribe to support you and unlock premium experiences.
Creators can also customize their subscription banners to provide different messages for different shows.
For example, one show might offer and promote early access, while another show on the channel might offer and promote archive access.
Apple launched subscription podcasts back in June, allowing creators to offer ad-free versions and subscriber-only content. The company now supports people through this process through a program called Jump Start.
Starting a new business is not easy, especially for new independent creators.
Starting today, all creators signed up for the Apple Podcasts program can now request direct guidance from the Apple Podcasts team to help them quickly start subscribing. Our global team can help podcasters create channels, set up subscription programming, learn subscription best practices, understand subscription reporting, and more. Creators can also request support by transferring ownership of their podcast, creating episodes, and submitting shows.
Finally, Apple Podcasts will now allow mp3 files as well as WAV and FLAC files for subscriber audio, again making it easier for non-technical creators to create and upload shows.
The above is the detailed content of Apple Podcasts improvements will let creators view follower data, get help subscribing to shows, and more. For more information, please follow other related articles on the PHP Chinese website!
