New Windows 11 build 22538.1010 (KB5010882) released to test the development channel service pipeline

Microsoft has released new Windows 11 build 22538.1010 (KB5010882) to Dev Channel Insiders. The new version does not bring anything new as it is a cumulative update and the company is testing its service pipeline as it is generally known.

These service pipeline updates are necessary to ensure that build services can be provided to users without any notable issues or hiccups. So, in an announcement on Twitter, the company simply stated:

We will be releasing a small update (Build 22538.1010) to validate the changes in our service pipeline. There are no feature changes in this minor release.

Therefore, all bug fixes and improvements announced in the earlier release, version 22538, will be carried over to the development channel. This version improves voice access, allowing you to fully control Windows with your voice, and perhaps more importantly fixes an issue where Explorer.exe would crash when using hardware volume controls and the like.

Interestingly, while no new changes were made in this build, test builds like the one previously served have been known to break certain features. For example, last year's Windows 10 Build 21292.1010 caused problems with x64 emulation on ARM PCs.
