• Sometimes, the problem may be with the media player you are using to play the video. So try restarting the application or try another media player.

Fix 1 – Change Speaker Properties

Step 1: Press the Windows and R keys simultaneously to turn on RunCommand box.

Step 2: Enter mmsys.cpl and press Enter.

Step 3: Now this will open the Sound Properties window.

Step 4: Under the Playback tab, select the Playback Device from the list and click the Properties button at the bottom.

Step 5: In the properties window of the playback device, click the Advanced tab and uncheck Allow applications Control this device exclusively and Give exclusive mode application priority checkboxes.

Step 6: Then click Apply and OK.

Step 7: Close all other windows and restart the system.

Fix 2 – Run Playing Audio Troubleshooter

Step 1: Press the Windows and R keys simultaneously to open Run command box.

Step 2: Type control.exe /name Microsoft.Troubleshooting in the Run text box, and then press the Enter key.

Step 3: This will open the Troubleshooting page on your system.

Step 4: Click on Additional troubleshootingOptions

Step 5: Now go through the single Click the Run button of the Play Audio option under the Most Common section to run the Play Audio Troubleshooter, as shown in the screenshot below.

Step 6: This will launch the troubleshooter window and start detecting any issues related to playing audio on your system.

Step 7: Follow any on-screen instructions and fix the issue detected by the troubleshooter.

Step 8: Restart the system once.

Fix 3 – Update audio drivers on your system

Step 1: Press the Windows and X keys simultaneously, then press once M key to open the Device Manager window on your system.

Step 2: Double-click to expand Sound, video, and game controller options.

Step 3: Now right click on the audiodevice and select Update Driver option from the list.

Step 4: Then, select the Automatically search for drivers option by clicking on it in the update window.

Step 5: This will start searching for any audio drivers available on the internet and update them.

Step 6: After completing the driver update, close the Device Manager window.

Fix 4 – Clear browser cache

Step 1: Open the google chrome app on your system.

Step 2: Next, in a new tab, type the following lines in the address bar and press the Enter key.

Step 3: This will open the Clear Browsing Data pop-up on the Chrome app.

Step 4: Now under the Basic tab, select All time from the Time range drop-down menu and select by clicking Browsing History, Cookies and Other Site Data and Cache Images and Files checkboxes.

Step 5: Then click Clear Data at the bottom of the window.

Step 6: This will clear all browsing history and other site data from chrome browser.

Step 7: You can follow the same process using major browsers.

Fix 5 – Contact Streaming Service Support Team

If you are watching any movie or video on any streaming service like PrimeVideo, Netflix etc. The problem may come from their end-game and they need to be corrected on the server or development side.

Fix 6 – Disable Hardware Acceleration

Step 1: Open the Chrome browser.

Step 2: In a new tab, type chrome://settings/system in the address bar and press Enter.

Step 3: Now disable the hardware acceleration feature by toggling the Use hardware acceleration when available option to turn it off.

Step 4: Once this is done, a Restart button will appear and you need to click the Restart button.
