The webcam on your system is not only used for video calls but also for taking photos using the predefined camera application on your Windows system. The photos are saved directly on your system's hard drive in a folder called Camera Roll.
Recently we have received reports from some Windows users that the Camera Roll folder is missing from their Windows systems and they cannot install it in any place to find it.

Step 3: Now click on the New option on the top menu bar and select Folder from the drop-down menu as shown in the screenshot below.
Step 4: Rename the newly created folder appropriately like Photos etc.
Step 5: After renaming, right-click the file folder and select Show more options from the context menu.
Step 6: Then hover over the Include in Library option in the Show More Options menu.
Step 7: Finally, select the first Camera Roll option in the list as shown below.
Step 8: This will be added to your Library folder and thereafter all photos and videos newly captured by your webcam using the system’s Camera app will be Will be stored here.
If someone else is using this user account on the system, they may unknowingly change the location setting to save new photos and videos in Settings Save new photos and videos in the app. Therefore, we can go to the Settings app and change its location settings.

Step 1: On your keyboard, first press the Windows key and enter storage settings.

NOTE – The default folder is always the C: drive, but if you select any drive other than C:, such as D: or E:, the new default folder will be set in This location (selected drive > Computer > Pictures > Camera Roll).
Step 8: After selecting the drive, you can close the window.
If the Camera Roll folder is not missing on your system but when capturing photos or videos with the default camera app on your system Throw an error. Step 3: In the Properties window, go to the Security tab and select your user account.

Step 5: If your user account does not allow write permission, then click the Edit button at the top as shown in the image below.
